On February 20th, a sweet baby boy named James Matthew came into this world to join his three older brothers! He is truly a joy and I feel so blessed to have him. I took four weeks off of the blog and basically everything else in life, so I could concentrate on this little bundle of joy!
I forgot all about the sleepless nights, and how the newborn determines what gets done in the day, but it is all worth it, and my boys are loving their little brother:)
To commemorate this awesome occasion I wanted to do my final heart design for week Number 9 of the 52 Week Challenge.
Copper Wire – It is cut out at 2 1/2 inches.
I love working with the copper wire because it helps me feel confident in making the design before I go on and attempt to make it with the Sterling Silver Wire. The Copper Wire, is also a little bit easier to bend than the Sterling Silver Wire, but overall if you can make it with the copper wire you can make it with the Sterling Silver wire! Please remember it is not good to put in your ear, it will cause some major damage.
Sterling Silver Wire – This is 20 gauge Sterling Silver Wire, and it is the exact wire that I use. Cut this wire out at 2 1/2 inches.
We are selling a Sterling Silver Wire/ Copper DIY kit, it you do not know where to find Sterling Silver or copper. The Sterling Silver in this kit is pre tumbled which means that it is nice and shiny! This is the wire that we use in our etsy shop and it is amazing to work with and of good quality, the kit is found here.
Flat Head Pliers
Angela’s Pliers – They are red pliers that I found at Home Depot, which I love!
Jewelry cloth to clean the Sterling Silver
Here is the Youtube video for the Heart Dangle Earring Tutorial
Have a wonderful week! May it be warm and feel more Springlike:)
Tales of the Shop:
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I have fun memories growing up of this holiday. Our whole goal was to pinch our dad on that day. We would wake up early in the morning and run into our parents room to see if our dad was wearing green and if not we would pinch him. But then he would show us that he put green marker on his thumb nail and we would all run away to escape being pinched! That is all that I remember we did for St. Patrick’s day, but that is all right, it is the little things that I remember:)
From left to right: Grandma Soffe, Dad, Thomas, Lisa, Collette, Angela, Nicole, and Daniel is in the front.
