I have lived far, far away from my family for six years and counting. During that time I did not make jewelry. I would get my jewelry fix whenever I visited my sweet family.
But then I would come back home and get involved with everyday life, which was fun, exciting, tiring and overall wonderful because it involved these little angels.
I was grateful to still be a part of learning about jewelry through the Hoops By Hand blog. But then I would look at the tutorials my family made, and realized how much I missed making jewelry!
So I started to look around to see what I could use to create my own jewelry shop. I shopped around to different stores like Home Depot and Michaels to collect my favorite jewelry tools. Then I realized as I looked around that I could create something unique and beautiful out of anything! A Fork could become a mandrel to create an earring, the end of a hammer could make a nice pair of Oval hoop earrings and a pen could make a beautiful heart earring.
The next step after I collected my jewelry tools, and starting creating jewelry. I gave myself a 52 week challenge of designing a new piece of jewelry each week for a year so I would continue making jewelry.
I would love for you to join me on this adventure!
I realize that there will be ups and downs, but I can guarantee one thing…
It is going to be SO MUCH FUN!
